Fundraising Mission - Making every dollar count

We believe that Habitat for Humanity's investment and development programs for creating community and affordable housing are an extremely efficient and effective use of financial resources in our community and our world. Because of this excellent use of capital resources, we strive to maximize our fundraising capacity while keeping in mind our central focus of volunteerism and community building.

As every dollar we raise and every fundraiser we hold creates momentum to end poverty housing, UW Habitat has created a set of goals to guide us over the near future, here are a few:

Immediate Initiatives

  • Engage over 200 members in active volunteering that benefits fundraisers
  • Engage significant numbers of students, campus leaders, community members, and businesses in supporting Habitat for Humanity
  • Have a net fundraising profit of over $50,000
  • Seek grants to fundraise at least $1000
  • Create a goal and reward system for each event.
  • Hold a significant and repeatable Spring Fundraiser

Long term Direction

  • Fundraise equal to complete home sponsorship annually
  • Exceed 90% fundraising efficiency
  • Develop a committed financial donor base outside events
