Habitat for Humanity builds homes, and hope through and extremely efficient means. Since 1976 Habitat for Humanity International has helped over 300,000 families rise up and take control over their living situation: their family's health, their commitment to their community, and their sense of pride and worth. Habitat does not give hand outs, but a helping hand to those who can use your help, and well serve as an investment as they pass along the helping hand to more families through their mortgage payments, volunteer hours, and community support.

UW Habitat is extremely grateful of your interest in donating and every dollar you give goes a long way. Total Contributions since 1993 exceed $200,000 and we have just entered into another 5 year $175,000 local commitment with HFHDC. We have also continually increased our international tithe yearly in order to sponsor more than one home financially through different international affiliates (the average cost of a Habitat home internationally is $5,000). As we increase our fundraising capacity, we are exceedingly able to transfer those funds directly and efficiently to building stable, safe, and affordable communities around the world. Habitat for Humanity International operates at >80% fundraising efficiency, Habitat for Humanity of Dane county at > 92%, and UW Habitat operates at >90% efficiency.
