A Great Year - Keep it going with Summer Opportunities |

If you are going to be around during the summer and would like to be involved with either building with Habitat for Humanity or our Biweekly Meetings, email Justin at president@uwhabitat.org to get on the summer mailing list or if you have any questions. We will have building opportunities most days all summer and our meetings will help us plan Souper Bowl XIV, Huffin 09, and our next Student Sponsored House.
Our last summer meeting will be Thursday August 20th, 7pm, Terrace |

Monday Meetings The Best way to Get Involved! |

UW Habitat meets every Monday at 7pm in the Basement of Calvary Lutheran on the corner of State Street and Lake Street. Here we go over opportunities for the upcoming week and month as well as relax and have a little fun. As always, there are no membership requirements and you can stop by any time. Email any questions to Justin at president@uwhabitat.org

Daniel and the Lion will be in concert at the majestic on April 28th to benefit UW Habitat and to get things started they will be playing a few songs at our next meeting (March 23rd, 7pm) and forming a committee to help organize and promote the event. Stop by to hear some great tunes, and email questions to Michele at spring@uwhabitat.org . Our meetings are in the basement of Calvary Lutheran on the corner of state and lake street every Monday at 7pm. |

Spring Break 09 - Maryland and South Carolina |

UW Habitat is excited to be sending two groups of 14 to Habitat affiliates in Maryland and South Carolina. Students will spend the week both building locally and exploring the sights and enjoying a well deserved break. UW Habitat facilitates students on break trips every winter and spring break, for more information visit our Trips page. |

Souper Bowl XIII a Record Success |

Thanks to everyone who helped out with Souper Bowl XIII on January 31st. Volunteers and community members came together for a night of art, food, and entertainment and raised over $32,000! Way to go! Planning has already begun for next year, for more information about our annual Souper Bowl visit our souper bowl page. Wednesday - 4/1 WUD Faces of Homelessness Panel |

Holey Batman! Wisconsin Union Directorate and UW Habitat have teamed up again to bring the absolutely most powerful learning tool to campus: Life Stories. Come to 1221 Humanities (TITU) at 7:30 to listen to individuals who have fallen into poverty, climbed out of, and local scholars on how we can all help it come to an end. Thursday 4/2 Hammer for Habitat and Shack-a-Thon - Library Mall |

Want to take out some frustration on a 16d nail or sign your name of a wall to be forever in a habitat home? Come to Library Mall from 8am to 8pm to help us prefabricate walls to be used in Habitat homes around Madison and fundraise for change. We will also be building a simulated poverty shack to highlight the differences between a habitat home, and on that over 1.6 Billion poor families wake up to every day.
